China Mobile (NYSE:CHL, 941.HK) intends to invest RMB 70 billion in rural network infrastructure and informatization over the next three years, reports Xinhuanet.com. According to a company chief, China Mobile expects to cover more than 10,000 villages per year during the period and to book 100 million agricultural information service, "Nong Xin Tong," subscribers and build 100,000 rural information service stations by 2011. China Mobile has invested RMB 19.5 billion in network construction across 60,000 villages since 2004, said the report.
