Celebrate Shokay’s One Year Anniversary and Second Store Opening with 30% off!

One year after the first flagship store opened on Taikang Road, Shokay is opening its second store in Shanghai, located at the Sheraton Hongqiao on Zunyi Nan Road. It’s right next to Bauernstube, which now carries our yak cheese. Stop by for a tasting! 

To celebrate Shokay’s store opening at the Sheraton Hongqiao and the one year anniversary of our Taikang Lu flagship, we are offering a 30% discount on all items until the end of this month!

Shokay Selected as Finalist for Cartier Woman’s Initiative Award

Shokay’s co-founder Carol Chyau has been selected as one of three finalists for the Cartier Women's Initiative Award! The Cartier Women’s Initiative Award is an annual international business plan competition started in 2006 and sponsored by Cartier, The Women’s Forum, McKinsey & Company and INSEAD business school to identify, support and encourage projects by women entrepreneurs.  Awards go to women entrepreneurs who lead creative, sustainable, and socially responsible companies.            

The Shokay team continues to be committed to development.  We aim to achieve this by using yak down sourced directly from local yak herders in western China and products knitted from women in Chongming Island, implementing a sustainable method of supporting local culture and minority groups.

Events Calendar

Shokay organized a “Yak Cheese, Guess Me” game at Café Bistro and Giovanni’s at Sheraton as a special way to celebrate this year’s Father’s Day. All fathers were invited to guess the names of two types of cheese, one of which will be yak cheese. The first 30 people who guessed right of both cheeses won a baby yak at Shokay’s new store on the second floor of the Sheraton!

Also our baby yaks are prepared for the Marzipan promotion at Bauernstube right beside the Shokay new store on 2F of Sheraton Hongqiao. The Bauerntube joint gift set with the baby yaks are available as a June Special. Do not miss!
